The fourth of July is a special day when it comes to celebrating our freedom here in the United States and gathering with loved ones for a good time. We know that usually, you would have plans to see family and friends and enjoy events and fireworks displays. However, the COVID-19 pandemic is still prevalent and many of these events will be canceled. However, there are still ways to celebrate safely.
You can still light up the grill at home, play some games, and enjoy other’s company. With the increase in vehicles on the road and the high amount of people out having a good time, it is important to remember a couple of ways in which we can stay safe during this holiday.

If you’re planning on going out in public, don’t forget your face mask! If you are meeting up with a small group of others, do so outside if possible. Also, practice social distancing. With the increase of alcohol consumption on July 4th, be sure to have a safe ride planned to and from your destination. Don’t drink and drive, or allow an intoxicated person to drive you home. A designated driver is always a great idea, or plan to get a ride from a ride-share app or taxi. If you can’t find a way to drive without drinking, celebrate at home.
